Concept Statement
WALL-SCAPE
I am attracted to the landscape that spreads horizontally, which makes me feel infinite, especially the landscapes of Central and Eastern Europe.
It's like my hometown, which can be said to be my original scenery.
I have visited Poland repeatedly because I always wanted to go back to that place. The possibility that it is impossible.
The situation of the corona wreck has robbed even these thoughts.
It is an invisible wall.
Trying to transcend the time and space of history, which I felt when I photographed the walls of the Jewish camp in Poland.
The wall itself speaks to me.
That it is a trace of liberation.
Wall view That became the concept of this exhibition.
Visualize the traces of "walls" and the nostalgic image of "landscapes" that you felt in your rebellious consciousness.
That consciousness is nothing but permanent. ‥

Concept Statement
壁景
ワタシは、まるで無限を感じさせるような水平に広がる風景、
特に、中欧・東欧の風景にこころ惹かれます。
それは、ワタシの原風景であるとも言えるような、故郷のような…風景。
その地にいつも帰りたいと思いに駆られ、ポーランドを繰り返し訪れました。
不可能であるという可能性。
コロナ禍の状況は、こうした思いさえも奪ってしまったのです。
それは、見えない壁であります。
ポーランドのユダヤ人収容所の壁を撮影した時に感じた、歴史という時空間を
越えようとすること、
その壁そのものがワタシに語りかけてきます。
それは、解放された痕跡であるということを。
壁景
それが、この展覧会のコンセプトとなる言葉となりました。
反骨の意識の中で感じた「壁」という痕跡、
そして「風景」という懐かしさを感じるイメージを視覚化すること。
その意識が永続していることに他なりません。
